Project Overview

Expression Australia, formally Vicdeaf, has been supporting the Australian Deaf and hard of hearing community since 1884. To celebrate 140 years of operation and celebrate a new period of expansion for the organisation, I was tasked with a brand refresh. 

The brand refresh was done with consultation from staff and the Deaf community, with particular attention given to the new colour scheme which reflects the colours of the then-recently appointed Deaf flag, as well as better accessibility for community members who are Deafblind, blind or have low vision. 

This brand refresh was released internally alongside a commemorative 140-year logo in April 2024 with positive response from staff and stakeholders.
